Help Menu Search in Mac OS X Leopard

Help Menu Search in Mac OS X Leopard, originally uploaded by veganstraightedge.

One the most unsung but seriously awesome features of Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) is in the Help menu.

There’s a little search box that searches the help files for that application if there are any. Sure, as I expect. But the really super cool part is if it finds a menu item that ~matches your search. It pops that menu down, highlights the item and floats this blue arrow next to it. (The arrow also kind of hovers around to get your attention, but is very nicely done.)

That’s called polish.
